Below are three images of posters i have looked over in an attempt to find inspiration for my own piece.
In addition, i am adding a tutorial that someone trying to design a poster, but who isn't sure how to get certain effects might find interesting or helpful.
I like the second movie poster the best, it is color and vibrant, the animation style has a nice quirky effect that you don't normally associate with opera, which is why I think it is the most effective.
ReplyDeleteThe movie poster design, and some of the other images I see here, look more old fashioned and more creepy, if not a little vague about what they are. The poster should not look like an invitation for a party at the ballroom of the Overlook Hotel from the Shining. (if you havent seen that, it is Halloween, do yourself a favor, Kubrick is a master with the camera.)
